چکیده
Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations have been used to investigate strain-rate dependence of plasticity and phase transition in [001]-oriented single-crystal iron under ramp compression. Here, is governed by deformation twinning, which kinetics tightly correlated with the loading rate. Over investigated range strain rates, a hardening-like effect found shift onset structural bcc-to-hcp transformation high, almost constant stress during compression regime. However, when evolves into shock wave, bcc–hcp triggered whenever rate associated plastic reaches some critical value, depends on rate, leading constitutive functional overall consistence experimental data laser

Phase transition in single crystal Cs2Nb4O11.
We studied temperature dependence of complex capacitance, impedance, and polarized Raman spectra of single crystal Cs2Nb4O11. First, we observed a sharp lambda-shaped peak at 165 degrees C in the complex capacitance, then found drastic changes in the Raman spectra in the same temperature range. Utilizing the pseudosymmetry search of structure space group, we attributed the observed anomalies to...
متن کاملMechanical Characteristics and Failure Mechanism of Nano-Single Crystal Aluminum Based on Molecular Dynamics Simulations: Strain Rate and Temperature Effects
Besides experimental methods, numerical simulations bring benefits and great opportunities to characterize and predict mechanical behaviors of materials especially at nanoscale. In this study, a nano-single crystal aluminum (Al) as a typical face centered cubic (FCC) metal was modeled based on molecular dynamics (MD) method and by applying tensile and compressive strain loadings its mechanical ...
متن کاملRate Independent Crystal Plasticity
The problem of non-uniqueness in the selection and determination of the amount of shear on the active slip systems has plagued the rate-independent crystal plasticity theories for several years. A new large deformation rate-independent crystal plasticity theory is fromulated which overcomes this long standing problem. The model has been implemented in a commerical finite element program ABAQUS/...
